The World Is Going Digital

Did you know that zoom video conferencing had 659,000 users in January but now has over 13 million users? That’s a rise of nearly 2000%.
You may have noticed that the world is becoming increasingly more digital, paritucalrly with the current pandemic which is forcing people to use video conference sites like zoom to connect with others.
Well another fast-growing niche is digital marketing and web design. Now more than ever, there is a demand for local web designers to build websites for emerging startups and new businesses and more people are waking up to the endless opportunity offered by digital marketing services.
The growth of this sector is largely driven by continued maturation of the retail and travel industries, although this has currently ground to a halt due to COVID-19.
Covid-19 is expected to see a whopping one-quarter of the UK’s population make a permanent switch to online shopping – that’s a total of 17.2 million people. The pandemic is expected to generate an additional £4.5bn for the online retail industry.
So what does this mean for digital marketing and web development? It means the demand will rise in the near future. More and more businesses will want to process transactions and advertise products on the web, instead of advertising in shop windows and on business cards.
More people are also at home during the day, with Global Workplace Analytics estimating that by the end of 2021, 25-30% of the workforce will be working-from-home multiple days a week. People also refrain from going to restaurants and prefer to order their food online through an efficient checkout system.
Perhaps things will change, but at the moment, it looks like the demand for web designers, SEO experts and digital marketing agencies is on the rise. If you need an afforddable web design company in Ealing, you can get in touch here.
